I used to work in bookstores in British Columbia (Canada). Adam's experiences were very similar to mine, which is one of the reasons I changed jobs. Th lady who wanted the book "The Bowers" was SO like some of my customers. Also the "Flames of Fire" aka "Flags of Our Fathers" person. A man came into my store looking for tweezers & was quite put out that we sold only books & magazines. "No tweezers?!?" he said in disbelief. He looked like a normal, sane individual.
