I was flipping through next week's TV Guide and noticed that Vision TV (a Canadian religious station) is showing "Bunny Lake is Missing" <a href="http://www.visiontv.ca/HTML/Programs/MoviesMay2004Preview.html" rel="nofollow">next week</a> (scroll down to Thursday May 6th). Must tape that to see what all the fuss is about! Wow…serendipity. They're sung (in Italian) with music by Ennio Morricone. Then I realized that the Push Kings probably ripped it off for the cover of their last album. <a href="http://image.allmusic.com/00/amg/cov200/dre900/e965/e965350pqhn.jpg" rel="nofollow">Check it</a>. But then I realized that might not be it, because they're not exactly similar. My brain was like "Nevermind dude, its that Dimitri From Paris album you have." <a href="http://image.allmusic.com/00/amg/cov200/dre300/e367/e3675199eqg.jpg" rel="nofollow">Check it</a>. That wasn't it either. I think Skidoo isn't consciously ripped off for anything. Interesting how many album covers are just women's torsos. So I think i'm going to hunt around and see how many album covers with just torsos I can find. THEN I'll write a big ol graduate thesis about how the sexist media has made no progress since the fertility dolls of the ancient world. Hoooo.
