I got some great anonymous non-fan mail yesterday:
”Your descent into madness is slow but sure, as evidenced by the turn for the worst your website has taken.”
Come on now, really? A descent into madness? Isn’t that a bit dramatic? Maybe a descent into not-interesting-to-the-public-at-large, but madness? Not really.
oooh, and it’s not merely a turn for the “worse,” it skips that and turns directly for the “worst!” ouch!
I regularly read a disturbing number of websites every day, and surf considerably more, and yours is consistently my favorite out of all of them. Ignore the haters, I say.
Madness? Really? I mean, sure, some strange, but interesting research projects, but I don’t really think that makes you mad. A geek/nerd, possibly, but not mad.

I like the turn it’s taken as well, there are a shitload of other blogs I can read to find out about what someone had for lunch or whatever.
